Hardware Failure

Your computer's had a hardware failure of some description, and you know exactly what's failed but don't know how to proceed. We can help either by offering comprehensive step-by-step advice on how to proceed on a DIY basis, or you can let us handle the repair or replacement.

Under our Support Service, our advice (by telephone, email, fax or ordinary snail-mail) on what to do next incurs no additional charge. Otherwise our minimum charge of £50 will apply.

If we feel that the problem in your case is unlikely to be a successful DIY job, we'll say so, but the decision will be yours. In fact there are several hardware problems that you certainly can fix yourself, and you can be sure that we'll recommend this when appropriate. 

If you'd like us to fix the problem anyway, or if you don't know what's gone wrong, then our standard procedure will apply, as described on the home page.
