My Digital Camera
won't connect.....

Your new digital camera is supposed to connect automatically to your computer, but for some inexplicable reason fails to do so, or does so only intermittently.

The key thing is to identify the camera as simply a computer peripheral rather than a photographic instrument; specifically the camera's memory device (Smart Media, Compact Flash, Memory Stick, Microdrive, and so on), should be recognised by your computer as another magnetic drive, albeit external to the system.
