On-site Diagnosis & Assessment Fee: No Charge There's no charge for carrying-out a diagnosis and assessment of your problems or needs. Sometimes this can be carried out successfully by phone but more often it is necessary to visit you in your home to look at things in person, on-site. Once the situation has been assessed it will either be a case of an on-site repair (see below), or a fixed price for a major job that will need to be undertaken at our workshop. Most such major jobs take around a week depending upon our workload at the time. However we generally aim to schedule a return on the same day the following week. If it is necessary to order replacement or upgrade components, this period may be longer. If being without a computer for this period is very inconvenient, we can often lend you a computer for the duration. We carry a stock of good but basic computers with effective internet access, and there is no charge for such loans. We would like to emphasise that you are under no obligation to accept our proposal, whether for an on-site repair or for a fixed-price workbench job. And if you do decline, then as stated above, there will be no charge at all for the time spent diagnosing the problem. On-Site Repairs
& Problem-solving
[SER012] If the required repair or problem solution, after our initial diagnosis and assessment, suggests that it can be successfully achieved within a maximum of two hours (including the time taken to diagnose the problem) then with your agreement this will be done. You will be charged for the total elapsed time from the time of arrival (minimum 1 hour), but of course, our no-fix-no-fee rule will always apply. |
